“Tenet” -FSK: The age rating for the new film by Christopher Nolan

On August 26th, 2020 the time has come: Christopher Nolan’s new film “Tenet” will hit the cinemas and should lure people back to the movie theaters. The FSK has already revealed how old you have to be to visit the sci-fi thriller.

Not much was announced in advance about “Tenet”, the new work by Christopher Nolan (“Inception”, “Dunkirk”). However, the classification of the FSK was already in the towel long before the cinema release:

“Tenet” is approved for ages 12 and up.

At least in this respect, “Tenet” follows in the footsteps of Nolan’s previous films “Dunkirk” (2017), “Interstellar” (2014), “The Dark Knight Rises” (2012) and “Inception” (2010).

The plot of “Tenet” (Spoiler Free)

The world is on the brink and needs to be saved. The two main characters (John David Washington and Robert Pattinson) have only one tool for this: Tenet. The mission takes place in the dark world of espionage, in which time seems to follow different laws GOSTREAM. Is it about time travel? No, it’s about inversions …

As in previous films, Christopher Nolan dedicates himself to the subject of “time” in “Tenet”. He likes to pass it differently than one might be used to: In “Interstellar” and “Inception”, for example, the director made it clear that time is a relative quantity that passes away from earth and in a different way in dreams.

“Tenet”, Nolan’s thriller with action and espionage elements, will be shown in German cinemas on August 26, 2020, after being postponed several times due to Corona.
